Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
If the allegations here are true, it's a big step forward that there will be consequences for a young man losing his life. However, I have to wonder if authorities looked into why the suspects left the accident scene. More often than not, drivers leave the scene when there was something specific they didn't want authorities to find out about. That could be anything from warrants to drunk driving to drugs, and there could be more than just the accident itself for which there needs to be accountability. Have authorities continued their investigations to make sure the victim's loved ones are getting the whole story?
