Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Single-vehicle accidents can sometimes be uniquely challenging. They're often treated as a lower priority by police departments. This can leave officers without the time or tools they need to actually dig into the details and do a proper, thorough accident reconstruction. Sometimes, that means crucial details end up slipping through the cracks. With independent investigations, though, steps can be taken to catch those details if necessary. That way, those affected by the crash can be sure their side of the story is at least being told fairly.
