Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on North Fwy. in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — October 13, 2025, a man was killed as the result of a car versus pedestrian at around 10:35 p.m. along the North Freeway.
According to Houston officials, the incident took place along northbound lanes near Quitman Street, at the Katy Freeway interchange.

Initial statements from police say that an unidentified 55-year-old was on foot at the time in the area of I-45. While there, a northbound vehicle struck the man. As a result, the pedestrian was killed. The driver remained at the scene, and no charges were reported.
Commentary
People often overlook pedestrian accidents like this because they assume everything is open-and-shut. The fact of the matter is someone lost their life, and their loved ones deserve answers. I can only hope authorities are taking steps to get those answers rather than brushing off this situation as a low priority and leaving the victim's family in the dark.
