Commentary
With pedestrian accidents, my concern is always how thorough authorities have been in their efforts. Unfortunately, accidents like this can be the first to fall through the cracks when authorities feel they have higher priorities to work on. For the victims involved, though, their accident is the priority. That's why there sometimes needs to be thorough independent investigations to finally bring all the facts to light. It wouldn't be unusual if the same proved necessary here, as well.
