Perrin Teen Killed in Car Accident on F.M. 113 in Parker County, TX
Parker County, TX — March 13, 2025, a Perrin teen was killed as the result of a car accident that happened around 9:40 p.m. on F.M. 113.
According to initial details about the accident, it took place northeast of Mineral Wells near F.M. 113 and Smith Trail.
Investigators said that a 17-year-old Perrin teen was in a Chevy Suburban going northbound on the roadway. For reasons which aren't confirmed right now, the vehicle lost control and crashed. Due to this, the Perrin teen was killed.
There did not appear to be anyone else involved in the accident. Right now, no further information is available.

One of my main concerns with crashes involving teen drivers is that people—including authorities—tend to jump to conclusions. When people start jumping to conclusions, that's when important details slip through the cracks.
For example, I had a case not long ago where authorities were convinced a driver hadn't been wearing their seatbelt. The family, however, didn't believe the victim would forget something like that. Our independent investigations showed their instincts were right. A more thorough examination of the vehicle proved the victim's seatbelt was defective. The victim was wearing the seatbelt properly, but it failed during the crash, causing severe injuries that likely could have been prevented.
Likely or not, it's important all possible contributing factors get attention here. Whether it's something that may have caused the crash or something that may have caused the crash to be more serious than it should have been, gathering clear evidence through careful accident reconstructions is vital after any deadly car accidents. That's only more true when someone's child is the one who lost their life.
