Pilot Injured in Runaway Plane Accident in Burnet, TX
Burnet, TX — December 31, 2025, one person was injured as the result of a runaway plane accident that happened around 4:00 p.m. at the municipal airport.
Authorities were called to the Burnet Municipal Airport, located south of town off South Water Street/US 281.
In preliminary statements, officials say that a pilot was outside of their plane at the time at the airport. While outside the plane, it somehow started moving. This ultimately resulted in the pilot being injured and the plane crashing into a fence line.
No other injuries were reported. Additional details are unavailable right now.
