Boy Killed in Pond Drowning Accident in Clinton, MA
Clinton, MA — June 25, 2025, a boy was killed as the result of a pond drowning accident at around 2:30 p.m. off of Lakeside Avenue.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the incident happened in a pond near Harborview Apartments off Fitch Road.

According to officials, a young boy somehow ended up unresponsive in Mossy Pond, which is right next to the apartments. EMS rushed the child to a hospital, but the victim was ultimately pronounced deceased.
No one else was harmed. The factors surrounding the accident remain under investigation.

Over the recent months, I've seen several incidents similar to this one involving children drowning in ponds that are on or near apartment property. It raises questions about why these hazards are so easily accessible. That may be something to look into here, as well.
