Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People often mistakenly believe single-vehicle wrecks are simple just because only one vehicle is involved. In reality, they can present unique challenges—especially late at night when witnesses may be few and far between. That's why I've had countless calls over the years from folks who felt authorities mishandled the investigations.
Sometimes, authorities take the time and effort to give a crash the attention it needs. Other times, though, they move on too quickly or leave the crash in the hands of an officer who doesn't have the experience or equipment to get clear answers. That's why there is often a need for independent accident reconstructions to ensure nothing important slipped through the cracks. Were those steps ever taken here?
