Commentary
There's obviously an inherent challenge with crashes like this in finding out what exactly went wrong. What should never be overlooked, though, is finding out why it happened and whether it might happen again. This could all be some sudden, unpredictable crash no could have foreseen. Or, it may have been a momentary lapse in judgement that is isolated to this crash.
Sometimes, however, crashes like this can be the result of preexisting issues, unqualified drivers, drivers with a history of known reckless driving, or perhaps maintenance issues with the bus that have been ignored. At the end of the day, we expect school districts and their employees and contractors to keep our kids safe. So parents no doubt want to know what happened here, but they also likely want to know what steps are being taken to keep it from happening again.
