Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
If the allegations here are true, parents will no doubt want to see some accountability. In my experience, that requires more than just simple charges or citations. We expect school districts and their employees to take care of our kids. Something like this suggests the possibility of issues behind the scenes, either with screening drivers who may be negligent or with enforcing safe behavior for drivers. Finding out if there are deeper issues surrounding this crash might be crucial both to see accountability for the crash and also to make sure this sort of thing doesn't happen again.
