Sefereno Gonzalez Injured in Hit-and-run Accident in Arlington, TX
Arlington, TX — September 14, 2025, Sefereno Gonzalez was injured as the result of a hit-and-run accident at around 1:00 a.m. on Rogers Street.
Investigators said that the accident took place between Mesquite Street and Collins Street.

Officials indicate that 48-year-old Sefereno Gonzalez was on foot at the time in the area of eastbound Rogers Street. While there, authorities say that a Ford vehicle struck Sefereno Gonzalez, then left the scene.
Sefereno Gonzalez sustained serious injuries due to the accident. It's unclear if authorities identified the runaway driver.
Commentary
With hit-and-runs, one of the best tools available to the authorities is the general public. A lot of the time, these situations are resolved because someone is able to connect dots authorities couldn't. Once that's done, steps can be taken to see there's accountability for that person leaving an accident scene as well as for any mistakes relating to the accident itself. If authorities have yet to resolve this situation already, I'm hopeful continued pressure will lead to a just conclusion.
