2 Women Killed in Single-car Accident on Research Blvd. in Austin, TX
Austin, TX — July 4, 2024, two women were killed following a single-vehicle accident just before 5:15 p.m. along the Research Boulevard service road.
According to authorities, two women were traveling in a southbound motor vehicle on the service road for Research Boulevard in the vicinity south of Ohlen Road when the accident took place.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the vehicle was involved in a single-car accident where it collided with the concrete base of a business sign pole. Both of the women suffered reportedly fatal injuries due to the wreck and were declared deceased at the scene. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
