Man Injured in Single-car Accident on Westpark Tollway in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — January 14, 2024, one person was injured in a single-car accident just after 3:45 a.m. along the Westpark Tollway.
According to reports, a 24-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Kia Soul in the eastbound lanes of the Westpark Tollway in the vicinity west of Renwick Drive when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the Kia collided with the end of a concrete barrier wall. The man was reportedly ejected from the vehicle during the accident, coming to rest in a roadside ditch. He incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash and was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identity of the victim—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
