Tannar Thomas, James Jimenez Killed in Car Accident in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — February 1, 2025, Tannar Thomas and James Jimenez were killed following a car accident at around 3:40 a.m. along Loop 610.
Initial details about the accident say that it happened near Clinton Drive along the main lanes of the freeway.
According to Harris County officials, Tannar Thomas and James Jimenez were in a Chevy Malibu going along Loop 610. The Malibu and an oncoming Chevy Traverse collided. Due to the collision, both Thomas and Jimenez sustained fatal injuries. The Traverse driver had non-life-threatening injuries.
It appears that the Traverse driver was charged for DWI. Right now, additional details can't be confirmed.

While the exact cause of the crash isn't officially confirmed right now, any mention of intoxicated driving is going to raise red flags. If the allegations are true, and if alcohol was the intoxicant, that would require investigations into where the alcohol came from. Here's why.

If alcohol played a role in this crash, investigators should determine whether an establishment over-served the driver before they got behind the wheel.
