Teen Killed, 2 Injured in Car Accident on Denton Hwy. in Westlake, TX
Westlake, TX — March 30, 2024, a teenager was killed and two other people were injured in a car accident that took place along Denton Highway, Highway 377.
According to authorities, a 17-year-old man was traveling in a BMW on Denton Highway approaching the Westport Parkway intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the BMW may have been traveling at high speeds leading up to the accident. The BMW allegedly ran a red light at the intersection, resulting in a collision between the BMW and a Toyota. The teen from the BMW incurred reportedly fatal injuries due to the accident. Two people from the Toyota were injured, as well, though their injuries were apparently minor.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
