Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
One concern I have with any crash involving a young driver is authorities sometimes are quick to move on without actually digging into the details. Teens don't get very much benefit of the doubt, and that can lead to incomplete or inaccurate reports. Just as with any serious wreck, though, there needs to be consideration for even unlikely possible factors. Vehicle defects, road hazards, alcohol, medical episodes, etc. Maybe authorities have been thorough here, but there are still a lot of unanswered questions that may require more thorough independent investigations to clear up.
