Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People tend to overlook pedestrian accidents, but they're as worthy of a thorough investigation as any serious accident. Everything from road conditions to lighting and signage to distraction to alcohol to unforeseen emergencies are worth looking into. If authorities are looking into all of that here, that's good. But I learned a long time ago not to take thorough investigations for granted. Sometimes, it's up to victims and families themselves to seek out independent investigators who will make sure no stone goes unturned.
