Thomas Blevins, Terry Lutz Killed, Alfonso Hernandez, Sara Guajardo, Greg Redford, Emma Vosburg Injured in Truck Accident in Jackson County, AR
Jackson County, AR — October 3, 2023, Thomas Blevin and Terry Lutz were killed, Alfonso Hernandez, Sara Guajardo, Greg Redford, Emma Vosburg injured, in a truck accident.
Preliminary information released by the Arkansas Department of Public Safety indicates that the crash happened at approximately 2:15 p.m. near mile marker 99 of U.S. Highway 67.

In the initial statements, authorities said that traffic along northbound lanes of the highway was going through a cloud of smoke coming from a field. As vehicles went into this smoke, something set off a chain-reaction of collisions involving over a dozen vehicles, including multiple commercial vehicles.
As a result of this chain of collisions, authorities report that 68-year-old Thomas Blevins and 55-year-old Terry Lutz were killed. They were in a Chevy Express van. At least four others were injured. 42-year-old Alfonso Hernandez of Los Fresnos, TX, was in a Peterbilt truck. 39-year-old Sara Guajardo of Ohio was in a Ford F-250. 59-year-old Greg Redford of Illinois was in a Freightliner. 21-year-old Emma Vosburg of Newark, AR, was in a Honda Accord.
The severity of the victims' injuries was not reported by authorities. It's unclear if anyone else was hurt. Right now, additional factors contributing to the crash remain unconfirmed as investigations proceed.
