1 Killed, 1 Injured in Truck Accident on S.H. 146 in Baytown, TX
Baytown, TX — November 17, 2023, one person was killed and another was injured in a truck accident just after 1:00 in the afternoon along S.H. 146.
According to reports, a Ford F-250 with a trailer in tow was traveling in the right-most southbound lane of S.H. 146 approaching the Bayou Bend intersection when he accident took place.
Allegedly, a Ford Focus made a U-turn from the northbound lanes in an attempt to head south at an unsafe time; the Focus was struck by the southbound F-250 as a result. The sole occupant of the Focus—whose identity has not been confirmed—was declared deceased at the scene of the accident. The 58-year-old man behind the wheel of the F-250 reportedly sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local medical facility in order to receive treatment.
The accident is under investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time were reportedly clear and dry. There are not currently any additional details available pertaining to this incident.
