1 Injured in Truck Accident on I.H. 10 in Gonzales County, TX
Gonzales County, TX — November 9, 2023, one person was injured in a truck accident just after 4:00 in the morning along Interstate Highway 10.
According to reports, a 62-year-old man was traveling in a westbound Freightliner with a trailer in tow along I.H. 10 in the vicinity west of the State Highway 97 bridge when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the Freightliner collided with the back of a trailer being towed by a westbound Ford F-150 which had been traveling in the lane ahead. The collision reportedly caused the Freightliner to veer right off of the roadway and into a ditch where it overturned, coming to rest on its left side.
The 62-year-old man, who had been the sole occupant of the Freightliner, incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the crash; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
