Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
There are a lot of questions that come to mind reading these preliminary details. Where exactly were the truck and the pedestrians in relation to the road? How visible were they? Why wasn't the Jeep able to avoid them? Have authorities pulled cellphone data, vehicle data, and any possible camera footage? Have they inspected the Jeep for potential defects?
Likely or not, it's important that all possible factors get attention so there can be a clear picture of what went wrong. Victims and families involved in a serious accident deserve answers, but also getting them the help they need means ensuring they can tell their side of the story. It remains to be seen what answers have been found here.
