Chicago, IL — February 8, 2026, one person was killed and one person was injured following a semi-truck accident at 1:00 a.m. on I-94.

Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident happened in the area of southbound Bishop Ford Freeway and 130th Street.

According to officials, an SUV and a semi-truck somehow crossed paths and collided. This resulted in the SUV driver suffering fatal injuries. The semi-truck driver was transported to a hospital. No other injuries were reported.

At this time, the cause of the crash remains unconfirmed. Investigations continue.

That's why it's important for victims and families to gauge the efforts of authorities early on.
