Grand Rapids, MI — December 2, 2025, a driver sustained injuries due to a truck rollover accident around 11:00 a.m. on Interstate 196.
Investigators said the incident happened on the transfer ramp from westbound I-196 to southbound US 131.

The driver had reportedly minor injuries. No one else was hurt.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
The immediate assumption from some is likely that the truck was just going too fast here. That's important to consider, but hopefully investigators are doing a careful inspection of the truck. I see too many commercial truck wrecks where things like possible vehicle defects go completely overlooked. Likely or not, it's important to consider all of these possibilities before jumping to conclusions.
