Commentary by Michael Grossman
Did authorities do a close inspection of the roadway here? Sometimes, construction areas aren't well-lit or aren't marked properly. Uneven roadways, gravel, barrels, and all kinds of other work-related hazards could easily cause a motorcyclist to suddenly lose control. Maybe that was ultimately ruled out here, but it's always important to know if authorities let the evidence speak for itself.
