Dallas, TX — April 2, 2025, Willie Lindsey Jr. was injured in a car accident at about 2:30 a.m. on North Masters Drive at Elam Road.

A preliminary accident report indicates a northbound 2012 Kia Sportage collided with an eastbound 2017 Acura TLX at the intersection.

Kia driver Willie Earl Lindsey Jr., 33, was seriously injured in the crash, according to the report by Acura driver Alaeldin Ahmed, 56, and passenger Emadeldin Alias, 22, suffered minor injuries.

Authorities have not released any additional information about the Dallas County crash at this time.

Intersection collisions, especially those that occur in the early morning hours, often involve more than just a moment of misjudgment. To understand what really occurred at North Masters Drive and Elam Road, we need to ask three critical questions.

First, did the authorities thoroughly investigate the crash? Determining which vehicle had the right of way is central in an intersection collision. Was one of the drivers proceeding through a green light, or did either party disregard a red light or stop sign? Were the traffic control signals functioning properly at the time? Investigators should carefully review the sequence of signals, document the scene in detail and collect statements from witnesses and any nearby surveillance footage to reconstruct the movements of both vehicles before the crash.

Second, has anyone considered whether a vehicle defect might have contributed to the collision or its severity? The Kia Sportage and Acura TLX should both be examined for mechanical issues, particularly related to brakes, steering, and safety systems.
