Owen Hart, Athena Taylor, Jeremy Gebo Killed in Truck Accident near Laughlin, NV
UPDATE (July 24, 2024): I recently came across video released a while back that is reportedly from the dash cam of the truck allegedly responsible for the deaths of Owen Hart, Athena Taylor, and Jeremy Gebo. The video is quite shocking. The truck drifts into oncoming lanes, nearly hits a couple of people head-on, then continues going on the wrong side of the road until the deadly collision with the motorcycles. Such obviously dangerous driving aligns perfectly with the allegations that the truck driver was impaired at the time of the accident.
But if impairment really did lead to this accident, it brings up an important question: Was there an employer involved here who could have seen this coming? In my experience across hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases, it's rare someone just wakes up and decides to get high or drunk and go to work. More often, it's a pattern of behavior that responsible employers would be able to root out with basic testing and supervision. So were there red flags leading up to this accident that an employer somehow overlooked or outright ignored? Are authorities extending the scope of their investigations beyond the individual truck driver's actions to make sure they're not letting anyone else off the hook?
Clark County, NV — March 25, 2024, Owen Hart, Athena Taylor, and Jeremy Gebo were killed after a semi-truck accident at around 2:40 p.m. along State Route 163.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the incident happened along State Route 163 near the U.S. Highway 95 intersection.

It appears that 22-year-old Owen Hart, 21-year-old Athena Faye Taylor, and 44-year-old Jeremy Gebo were on a pair of motorcycles going eastbound along State Route 163. While doing so, authorities say a truck crossed over onto the wrong side of the road, and a collision occurred between the three vehicles.
Due to the collision, Owen Hart, Jeremy Gebo, and Athena Taylor sustained fatal injuries. The truck driver was apparently arrested for allegedly being impaired at the time, and he faces pending charges for DUI resulting in death. At this time, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
