Rocio Cabeza De Vaca Alpizar Killed, 1 Injured in Car Accident in Donna, TX
Hidalgo County, TX — December 25, 2023, Rocio Cabeza De Vaca Alpizar was killed and one was injured following a car accident at 6:49 a.m. on Business 83.
Authorities said in their statements that the crash happened off the corner of East Business 83 and Midway Road.

Investigators said in preliminary statements that 42-year-olod Rocio Alpizar was in a Mazda 6 that was going eastbound along East Business 83 at the time. While doing so, police say that a Dodge Nitro allegedly going at a high rate of speed slammed into the back of Alpizar's vehicle. This pushed Alpizar's vehicle off-road where it hit a pole.
Due to the crash, Alpizar sustained fatal injuries. a woman riding in the other vehicle had apparently serious injuries. The driver of that vehicle was in unspecified condition. It appears there were recommendations for that driver to be charged for accident involving death. No further information about the crash can be confirmed at this time.
