Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Single-vehicle wrecks like this don't always get as much attention as one would hope. Authorities might see them as a low priority, so complex possible factors might slip through the cracks. Were there road hazards? Did a tire blow out? Did the driver have a medical condition? Was alcohol involved? Did the vehicle have any defects? These can take in-depth efforts that authorities alone may not be motivated to follow through on. I can't begin to count how many times I've spoken with folks who felt authorities ignored their situation or felt that authorities were more concerned with trying to blame someone than actually getting the whole story. Maybe this is one of those exceptions where authorities were thorough and let the evidence speak for itself. In my experience, though, it's usually best not to take that for granted.
