7 Injured in Truck Accidents on Kansas Turnpike near Emporia, KS
Lyon County, KS — February 18, 2025, seven people were injured in a series of accidents at about 1:10 p.m. on the Kansas Turnpike/Interstate 35.
Authorities said several crashes occurred on the turnpike as a winter storm struck the area. Media reports indicate several semi-trucks were involved.
Emergency personnel transported seven people to a local hospital with unspecified injuries, according to authorities.
Authorities have not released any additional information about the crashes southwest of Emporia that shut down the turnpike for past of the afternoon.
