Darvin Rivera Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-10 in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — April 10, 2023, Darvin Rivera was killed after a pedestrian accident at around 5:16 a.m. along the East Freeway.
Details from authorities show that the collision happened in East Houston in the area of the East Freeway and Freeport Street.

According to initial investigations, a man and his girlfriend were in a vehicle on the freeway when an argument is said to have occurred. The couple apparently got out of their vehicle and were crossing the freeway on foot. While doing so, a vehicle struck the man.
Information from authorities identified the man as 19-year-old Darvin Rivera. Rivera sustained fatal injuries as a result of the collision. No other injuries were reported. Authorities say that the driver involved initially drove from the scene but then apparently called for help at a nearby business. No charges or citations have been reported at this time. Investigations into the factors surrounding the accident are ongoing.
