Man Killed in DUI Accident in St. Petersburg, FL
St. Petersburg, FL — September 16, 2023, a man was killed in a DUI accident on Interstate 275 at the 54th Avenue North exit ramp in St. Petersburg, FL.
Authorities indicate that on September 16, a fatal accident occurred when a vehicle crashed in St. Petersburg for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 4:30 in the morning.
Investigators say the vehicle was heading south on Interstate 275, on the 54th Avenue North exit ramp, when it veered off the road and struck a tree. Officials confirmed a 48-year-old male passenger, whose name has not been released, suffered fatal injuries. No other vehicles were said to be involved.
Police say the driver suffered injuries and was later arrested for DUI manslaughter and driving with a suspended license involving death. No further information is available at this time.
