7-year-old Injured in Apartment Shooting off Cullen in Houston, TX
Harris County, TX — December 29, 2025, a 7-year-old girl was injured as the result of a shooting incident at round midnight at apartments off of Cullen Boulevard.
Reports on the incident say that it took place at the Cullen Apartments along Cullen Boulevard.
Initial statements indicate that there were two groups outside at the apartment complex. At some point, an altercation occurred, resulting in at least one person firing shots. One of those shots hit a 7-year-old girl. The girl was taken to the hospital and survived.
No other injureis were reported. Details abot the potential shooter are unavailable, though authorities described a "dark-colored Jeep" leaving the scene. Investigations continue.

One thing I wonder about is if authorities canvassed the area for any cameras. These days, a lot of people have security cameras and doorbell cameras—even in apartment complexes. That video often gets overwritten or erased, so it's time-sensitive and needs to be secured quickly. Did authorities ever look into that here?
