Ah Cho Injured in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Houston, TX
Houston, TX — June 5, 2025, Ah Cho was injured as the result of an alleged drunk driver accident at around 4:18 a.m. along Fry Road.
Details from Harris County officials say the crash happened at the Fry Road and Creek Bend Trail intersection, just south of Morton Road.

According to officials, 43-year-old Ah Cho was in a Toyota Corolla going northbound on Fry Road. At Creek Bend, authorities say an eastbound Kia Optima crashed with Ah Cho's vehicle. As a result, details say that Ah Cho sustained serious bodily injury.
Authorities allege that the driver of the Kia had been drinking alcohol prior to the crash and was allegedly over two and a half times the legal limit. That driver appears to have been charged for intoxication assault.
Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
While I don't have additional information about this specific incident, I have handled hundreds of drunk driving accident cases. In my experience, someone who is over two and a half times the legal limit usually had help getting there from a bar or similar establishment. This raises the very serious concern of whether or not that driver was unlawfully over-served by a negligent alcohol provider and whether or not authorities are investigating that potential wrongdoer.
It doesn't get a lot of attention, unfortunately, but Texas law allows for negligent alcohol providers to be held accountable after serious accidents. If investigations show a bar, restaurant, or similar venue unlawfully over-served someone, and that led to people getting hurt, the victims and families affected can see those establishments held responsible for their role in the accident. Not only is this an important step for accountability, but it also helps reckless establishments clean up their act before more people get hurt.
It's possible authorities continued working behind the scenes to look into this possibility. However, they often move on once there's a driver facing charges. If authorities here can confirm where the alleged drunk driver got their alcohol from, then that could be a good sign they've been thorough in their investigations. But if they never bothered investigating beyond the crash scene, they could be doing a huge disservice to the victim and family affected by this incident—not to mention possibly letting a wrongdoer get away with breaking the law.
