Aryan Orampati, Farooq Shaik, Lokesh Palacharla, Darshini Vasudevan Killed, 3 Injured in Car Accident in Anna, TX
UPDATE (September 4, 2024): Recent reports have been released which identify the four people who lost their lives as a result of this accident as 27-year-old Aryan Orampati, 30-year-old Farooq Shaik, 28-year-old Lokesh Palacharla, and 25-year-old Darshini Vasudevan. No additional details are currently available. The investigation remains ongoing.
Anna, TX — August 30, 2024, four people were killed and three others were injured in a multi-vehicle car accident at about 3:30 p.m. along U.S. 75.
According to authorities, the accident took place in the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 75 in the vicinity north of Farm to Market 455.

The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, four separate vehicles were involved in a collision. All four occupants of one of the vehicles suffered fatal injuries as a result of the wreck, according to reports. Three other people who sustained injuries due to the crash were transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident—including the identities of the victims—are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
