Ashley Lopez Killed, Anthony Garza, 2 Injured in Car Accident in Ector County, TX
Ector County, TX — June 12, 2023, Ashley Lopez was killed and Anthony Lopez and two others were injured following a car accident at 12:20 p.m. on Highway 302.
Authorities with the Texas Department of Public Safety said that the collision took place at the intersection of Highway 302 and F.M. 1936 in the Odessa area.

According to initial reports on the crash, 40-year-old Ashley Lopez and 29-year-old Anthony Garza were in a vehicle that was reportedly going northbound on F.M. 1936. At Highway 302, it appears that a westbound Ford Edge crashed with the pickup.
As a result of the two vehicles colliding, Lopez sustained injuries that ultimately proved to be fatal. Garza had unspecified injuries but was reportedly stable. The driver in the other vehicle was treated and released while reports say a 16-year-old riding as a passenger in that vehicle was taken to a hospital.
Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable as investigations continue.
