California Man, 1 Killed in 18-wheeler Accident on I-10 in Colorado County, TX
Colorado County, TX — February 25, 2023, a California man and another person were killed due to an 18-wheeler accident at around 10:00 p.m. on I-10.
Investigators said that the incident happened at approximately 10:08 p.m. near mile marker 710 of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 10.

Preliminary details indicate that there was a construction zone along eastbound lanes of the interstate. A Toyota Corolla was said to be stopped in the area of that construction zone. A tractor-trailer approaching the Toyota apparently failed to control speed. As a result, the 18-wheeler slammed into the Corolla, pushing it forward into a Honda Odyssey. The Honda then crashed with a Toyota Camry. It's said the 18-wheeler continued pushing the Corolla, and they both ended up along the median.
Authorities currently say that two people in the Toyota Corolla died as a result of the crash. They were identified only as a 63-year-old man from Walnut Creek, California, and a 61-year-old man. Two people in the Honda may have been injured, but this was not confirmed. Right now, additional details about the crash are unavailable.
