Commentary
I've found that a lot of folks are a bit too quick to assume that car accidents are simple just because they're common. That's not always true. There could be all kinds of extenuating circumstances that make things challenging for victims or families looking for help following a serious car accident.
For example, there could be issues with the road which led to the crash. A vehicle may have experienced a defect. One of the drivers may have unlawfully over-served by a negligent bar. Authorities may have forgotten to look at nearby security cameras. Maybe they neglected to pull cell phone data. Witness may have given conflicting statements that authorities didn't clear up through evidence at the crash scene.
Simply put, I've been doing this for thirty years, and there really are no simple car accidents. They all need to be handled by experienced, well-equipped investigators who can at least rule out complex or unlikely factors. That way, victims and families can have as much information as possible going forward, whatever paths may be available to them.
