Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I certainly don't know anything more about this wreck than what's been reported publicly already. However, I have extensive experience with accidents involving motorcyclists. It's important to make sure authorities haven't hastily jumped to any conclusions in their investigations.
Frankly, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists, assuming the worst without actually considering any evidence. Authorities are not immune from this, and sometimes taking a second look at a motorcycle wreck can show they missed important details in their initial efforts.
Hopefully authorities have been more thorough here so the victim's loved ones know they're getting the whole story, but it's just not something I would take for granted.
