One Killed, Four Injured in Multi-Car Accident at Oak Hill in Austin, TX
Austin, TX — April 24, 2023, one person was killed and four were injured as the result of a car accident at around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Oak Hill.
Officials with the Austin-Travis County EMS said that the crash happened along U.S. Highway 290 near the Highway 71 split, just off Circle Drive.

It appears that there are no clear details about what exactly caused the crash. Current information suggests that it involved at least three vehicles colliding along U.S. 290. The crash was apparently serious enough to block lanes of travel going in both directions, ATCEMS said.
As a result of the crash, it appears one person succumbed to fatal injuries. Four others were transported to area hospitals. One of those people was said possibly have serious injuries. None of the victims have been identified at this time. Authorities continue to investigate potential factors leading up to the crash.
