Kiowa County, KS — April 19, 2023, Jaidyn Barz was killed, Cody Metz, Jesse Hall, and Jonathan Gajeuski injured, after a car accident on U.S. Highway 54.
Preliminary details about the fatal crash say that it happened at approximately 7:32 a.m. several miles outside of Greensburg.

It appears that 19-year-old Jaidyn Barz, 18-year-old Jesse Eugene Hall, and 19-year-old Jonathan Gajeuski were in a Chevy Tahoe which was traveling westbound along U.S. 54. Ahead, authorities say that a 2022 International stopped on westbound lanes. The reason the vehicle stopped was not specified.
To avoid hitting the International, it's reported that the Chevy swerved to the left. As a result, it ended up crashing head-on with an eastbound Chrysler Pacifica driven by 19-year-old Cody Metz.
Due to the collision, Jaidyn Barz sustained fatal injuries. Metz, Hall, and Gajeuski were all taken to hospitals for their injuries. Metz and Hall were said to have sustained serious injuries. Gajeuski's injuries were described as minor. Right now, additional details surrounding the crash are unavailable.
