Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Following any serious accident, it's important to know what evidence exactly authorities are looking into. It would surprise folks how often authorities merely scratched the surface before considering a matter closed and moving on. That's why a lot of families feel more comfortable when independent investigators look things over. Sometimes, they can simply confirm that authorities have done a good job. Other times, though, their efforts can catch crucial details that authorities missed in the preliminary investigations.
