Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
When it comes to single-vehicle accidents, authorities sometimes put so much focus on looking for blame that they fail to consider all possible contributing factors. Naturally, this can lead folks to worry about how to tell their side of the story fairly.
Generally speaking, independent accident reconstructionists can be a significant ally. Since their efforts and resources won't be divided, they can focus on gathering evidence and letting the facts speak for themselves. If they simply affirm what authorities already know, that means authorities did a good job. But if new details come to light, it may help set the record straight if authorities came to a false conclusion.
