Naomi Edwards Killed in Car Accident in Harrison County, TX
Harrison County, TX — December 24, 2025, Naomi Edwards was killed as the result of a car accident at around 10:52 p.m. along Interstate 20.
According to preliminary statements, the accident happened west of Waskom along eastbound lanes of the interstate.
Investigators said that 21-year-old Naomi Ruth Edwards was on foot at the time in the area of eastbound I-20. While there, a Chevy Silverado struck Naomi Edwards. Naomi Edwards sustained fatal injuries as a result.
No other injuries were reported. Additional details about the crash are unavailable right now.

People tend to jump to conclusions following pedestrian accidents like this. Like any serious accident, though, there needs to be a thorough investigation into all possible contributing factors. Road conditions, lighting, distraction, medical conditions, alcohol, dangerous road design, some sort of emergency—likely or not, it's up to the evidence to speak for itself.
