Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
Hopefully this accident gets the attention it deserves. I've seen a lot of pedestrian accidents get swept under the rug because they're often treated like a low priority. If authorities don't take the time to pull phone records, look for nearby cameras, analyze road design, lighting, and signage, and otherwise look at the incident from all angles, something important could slip through the cracks. As such, it's important for families to know that investigators are working to tell the whole story rather than just looking at the most obvious evidence and moving on.
