Pedestrian Killed in Truck Accident on I-57 in Sherwood, AR
Pulaski County, AR — February 19, 2026, one person was killed as the result of a truck versus pedestrian accident at around 5:30 a.m. along I-57.
According to initial details about the accident from state police, it took place near mile marker 4 of the interstate along northbound lanes.
It appears that an unidentified pedestrian was walking on the highway at the time. While doing so, a Toyota Tundra and a Freightliner semi-truck both struck the pedestrian. Due to the collision, the pedestrian was killed.

People tend to ignore pedestrian accidents like this and see them as open-and-shut. Like any fatal accident, though, it's important to know all possible factors have been considered. If authorities are treating the investigations as an equal priority and getting clear answers, that would be good to hear. If not, though, that's when independent investigators may need to step in.
