Regina Vazquez, 4 Injured in Car Accident on Colonial Pkwy. in Harris County, TX
Harris County, TX — April 16, 2024, Regina Vazquez and four others were injured in a car accident shortly before 10:00 p.m. along Colonial Parkway.
According to authorities, 42-year-old Regina Vazquez, two 40-year-old men, a 17-year-old boy, and 17-year-old girl were traveling in a westbound Chrysler Pacifica van on Colonial Parkway at the Westside Parkway intersection when the accident took place.

The van was at a stop in the left turn only lane due to the red light indicated by the traffic signal. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Ford Econoline failed to stop at the red light behind the van. A collision followed between the front-end of the Ford and the rear-end of the Pacifica.
The 17-year-old girl from the Pacifica suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. All other occupants of the Pacifica sustained moderate injuries, as well, according to reports. They were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
