Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
It's unfortunately not surprising to see so few details about what happened here despite months passing since the accident. It would surprise folks how often families call me months after an accident without any clear information. OSHA simply has their own priorities, and that doesn't always align with the needs of a family.
This can make things particularly challenging, considering Texas has the most complex work fatality laws of any other state in the country. That's why it's often a crucial step to get families the evidence they need early on. That way, they can take the steps needed to navigate a complex legal maze. If OSHA still isn't getting the family the answers they need, then that may require independent investigations.
