Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
I've seen a lot of people in the comments on news videos already jumping to conclusions here. I understand why, given the time of night and the few details authorities have made public. However, jumping to conclusions has never done good for victims or families. Right now, the focus should be on getting clear answers and preserving evidence. With each passing day, there's a risk of something important being lost, altered, or overlooked. So if authorities are able to tune out all the noise and focus on the facts, that would be good to hear. That said, if this crash needed attention from more experienced independent investigators, it would be far from the first time.
