Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
People often think I'm "anti-trucker" because I've handled hundreds of commercial vehicle accident cases. Many of those cases, though, involved responsible, careful commercial drivers harmed due to the actions of other reckless commercial vehicle drivers. What makes these situations uniquely challenging is that the employers involved are likely to prioritize avoiding responsibility over doing right by their worker. Families often find that they're left on their own to seek benefits and get answers about the crash. That's why crashes like this generally fare best in the hands of independent investigators. They can prioritize getting the facts, which victims and families can use to best decide what comes next for them.
