6 Injured in Car Accident on S.H. 195 in Killeen, TX
Killeen, TX — December 31, 2023, six people were injured in a car accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. along State Highway 195.
According to authorities, a southbound Toyota Corolla occupied by a man, a 27-year-old woman, a 3-year-old, a 4-year-old, and two 6-year-olds was traveling on State Highway 195 in the vicinity of the Chaparral Road intersection when the accident took place.

For unknown reasons, the Corolla crashed into a Durango. After the collision, the Corolla reportedly continued south for some distance before coming to a stop in the median. Due to the collision, the Durango spun 180 degrees and collided with the rear-end of an Equinox. All six occupants of the Corolla reportedly incurred injuries. They were each transported to local medical facilities in order to receive treatment. The three-year-old, however, sustained critical injuries and had to be flown to a regional hospital in order to receive appropriate care. No other injuries were reported.
The accident is under active investigation by local authorities. The weather and road conditions in the area at the time have not been reported on. Additional details—including the identities of those involved—are not available at this point in time.
